Sunlight filters through leaves onto finely crafted patio furniture; a gentle breeze stirs cushions whose earthy hues echo the garden around it. One can almost feel the serene calm of such an alfresco lounge—a perfect fusion of landscape and design. At Manutti, the Belgian outdoor furniture house, nature and luxury are inseparable. The company combines the beauty of nature with fine craftsmanship, creating pieces with flowing lines, organic materials, and earth-tone colours that harmonise with gardens and patios. Every design aims to capture and enhance life’s precious moments beneath the open sky.
For more than 20 years, Manutti has remained a pillar of Belgian luxury design. Based in Deerlijk, the company harnesses Belgium’s storied craft tradition and a global perspective: its collections are designed in Belgium and then brought to life by artisans around the world. Founder Stephane De Winter drew on his family’s textile legacy to imagine outdoor furniture as refined as any indoor sofa. Manutti’s mission has always been to create living spaces that are as unique as their customers, blending the colours of nature into architectural forms. These are not mere garden chairs or tables, but carefully engineered compositions that unite architecture and nature.
Everything Manutti designs aims to deepen our bond with the outdoors. The company believes that the sun encourages us to enjoy time outside and focus on what truly matters in life: bonding with loved ones. With this ethos, each sofa or dining set is designed to foster relaxation and conviviality, from breakfast and tea to lunch, aperitivo, and dinner. Manutti’s iconic pieces are so much more than outdoor furniture–they are invitations to step into a world of luxury, and, indeed, to pause and relish the beauty around us.
A Tapestry of Collections
Manutti’s range spans rugs, seating, tables and more, each with its own design language. The Mareno collection adds structure and balance to outdoor living with handwoven rugs. Available exclusively in square and rectangular shapes, these durable, weather-resistant carpets define outdoor spaces with clarity and elegance. By contrast, Solae—like the sun that inspired its name—delivers organic, boat-shaped and round rugs that bring warmth and harmony to any setting. Meticulously woven, Solae’s geometry forms a seamless link between furniture and the landscape, acting as a soft foundation underfoot.
On the seating front, Manutti combines at-home ease with innovation. The Yiko collection, designed by Stephane De Winter, features elegantly curved teak frames and seats woven from recycled two-tone wicker. Its graceful contours evoke a sense of nostalgia while the design’s minimalist lines nod to Japanese craft traditions. Similarly, the Tamo armchair is crafted entirely from teak, with a sleek, continuous flow from the legs to the backrest. Its form, reminiscent of 1950s outdoor icons, combines vintage charm with effortless comfort. Both ranges use premium teak and handwoven details to ensure they age gracefully outdoors.
Ogado, Manutti’s sculptural dining collection, is another highlight. Inspired by organic forms, Ogado pairs flowing tabletop slabs (in durable ceramic or warm teak) with uniquely carved wooden bases. Each detail reflects high-end precision and meticulous attention to detail: for instance, the ceramic tabletop is baked at extreme heat to create an impermeable, marble-like surface. Ogado’s gentle shapes and mix of materials create a serene, soothing ambience ideal for al fresco dining.
Nami: Fluid Lines & Sustainable Luxury
From Manutti’s own Design Studio comes the latest release: Nami, a modular sofa collection that epitomises modern outdoor living. It marries a clean aluminium frame with exceptionally soft, customisable cushions. Fluent lines and gentle curves define its silhouette, giving Nami a calm, timeless expression that integrates naturally into contemporary outdoor architecture. Best of all, the frame is lightweight and fully recyclable, ensuring both strength and sustainability without sacrificing elegance or ease of use.
Built for flexibility and ready out of the box, Nami’s modular design adapts to any layout, with individual sofa sections enabling versatile configurations. Integrated Batyline® fabric ensures a soft yet supportive seat, complemented by generous cushions that can be tailored in colour and texture. This ease of use means Nami can suit a narrow balcony or a sprawling patio with equal grace.
The collection also includes organically shaped coffee and side tables to match. Each Nami table is crafted from the same powder-coated aluminium and finished with a tough ceramic top. Available in varying heights, the round or oval tabletops can be nested and layered to create dynamic setups. Thanks to the ceramic’s baked stone-like finish, the surfaces are hard, virtually impermeable and incredibly durable—perfect for casual drinks or snacks in the open air.
Craftsmanship & Collaboration
Craftsmanship lies at the heart of every Nami element (and every Manutti piece). The aluminium frame is finished with an electrostatic powder coating—a high-tech process that creates a protective, weatherproof skin. Artisans then hand-finish each join and surface, subtly highlighting the material’s inherent beauty. Even the ceramic tabletops are the product of craft: made by fusing sand, clay and stone at 1100°C and glazed for lasting colour, they emerge hard and low-maintenance. This fusion of advanced technique and human touch exemplifies Manutti’s belief that innovation and artisanal skill should go hand in hand.
Equally important is the brand’s collaborative spirit. Within the Manutti Design Studio, internal designers work alongside guest creatives and skilled suppliers who all share a singular focus on quality. This synergy of visions drives continuous innovation: every new collection feels fresh yet unmistakably Manutti. For example, Nami itself was conceived in-house to translate the studio’s vision directly into product. Other pieces stem from long-term partners (Ogado’s Brent De Meulenaere) or the founder’s own ideas. By fusing local Belgian talent with global craftsmanship, Manutti ensures its products evolve but always reflect its core design values.
