Kicking off this week, until 5 March, the World Gourmet Summit is celebrating ‘The Classics’ with internationally acclaimed chefs and vintners and all things delicious…

“Bring back the culinary classics!”, we hear you say. Well, this annual gastronomic extravaganza is doing just that in Singapore for one week. With a seriously exciting line-up of acclaimed chefs, events and dinners there’s something for everyone this week.

Among other masters, Mathieu Viannay, Thomas Bühner, Sergi Arola, Arron Huang and Ian Curley will be gracing the stages and kitchens, offering epicureans all sorts of delights.

Citibank Gastronomic Jam Sessions

27 & 29 March,9.30am –5.30pm,Suntec Convention Room 331-333

A series of demonstrations presented by visiting guest chefs and Singapore’s personalities. There’s also agourmetarea which features top-of-the-market products.

Mouton Rothschild Wine Dinner

27 March, 8pm – 11pm, Raffles Grill

FOUR of its best vintages including Mouton Rothschild 2000 will be presented, with dinner to suit the exquisite wine presented by two Michelin-starred masterchef Philippe Mille and Raffles Singapore’s executive chef Pierre Burgade. The dinner will be moderated by Baron Philippe De Rothschild.

Le 4eme Grand Chapitre de la Confrérie Du Sabre D’Or featuring international master-chef Philip Mille

28 March, 7pm-11pm, The St Regis Singapore

What more would you ever want than great Champagne, food and fun? Get yourself to la Confrérie Du Sabre D’Or. An excellent selection of Champagnes will accompany a specially crafted menu by two Michelin star Masterchef Philippe Mille and Hosting Chef Bobby Saravanan Krishnan from The St Regis Singapore. Not forgetting the highly anticipated Sabrage, expect nothing less than the real taste of a grand epicurean feast amidst great sparklings!

Master Pastry Chef Christian Escribà – The Mozart of Chocolate – To ConductSingapore’s First-Ever Junior Chefs’ Pastry Workshop

3 April,2:30pm-4:30pm, ToTT Store

A small group of children will be lucky enough to enjoy a confectionery experience of a lifetime at Singapore’s first-ever Junior Chefs’Pastry Workshop with Spanish Masterchef and magician of all things sweet, Christian Escribà. The workshop on Thursday, 3 April is a chance for 16 children, aged between 6 and 12 years, to let their imagination run wild with the man known as ‘The Mozart of Chocolate’in an exclusive session held atToTT on Dunearn Road.
