Following the success of previous years, Villa La Massa, the picturesque, Florentine sister hotel of iconic Villa d’Este, has announced the return of its popular ‘Wine & Truffles’ experience.

Taking place in the Autumn, 24 – 29 October 2016, attending guests will have the chance to experience the Italian dolce vita and partake in some of Italy’s finest pleasures, sampling delicious gourmet food, fabulous Italian wines and experiencing Italy’s famed culture.

Highlights include a private Ferrari tour of the beautiful Chianti region and a real truffle hunt at the Villa Cusona estate, owned by the Guicciardini Strozzi family where a lunch will be hosted by Princess Natalia Strozzi. This historic estate covers 530 hectares and has set aside 15 hectares as protected truffle ground. The rich soils and humid microclimate make this territory particularly appropriate for the famous Tuscan White Truffle. Additionally, renowned art historian Andrea Ghiottonelli offers an in-depth discovery of Florence unearthing its culture, renaissance art, and monuments. Guests are sure to be impressed by a visit to the Antinori Estate where they will gain an appreciation of the tradition of Italian wines. The Antinori family has dedicated their efforts to the production of flawless wine for over six centuries, while their art collection is famed across Italy.
