The basis of the SousVide is quite simple: it is a culinary technique in which vacuum-sealed food is immersed in a water bath and cooked at a very precise, consistent temperature. Originally from France, Sous Vide literally translates as the French for “under vacuum,” and was developed in the mid-1970s by chef Georges Pralus for the Restaurant Troisgros in Roanne, France.

By entering this competition entrants agree to having their photographs displayed on the FOUR Magazine website, social media sites, Sous Vide, and Sous Vide’s social media sites. Winners will be announced on 2 September. All entrants will be automatically signed up to FOUR magazine and Sous Vide newsletters.

This prize draw is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except employees of Sloane Trading and SousVide, their families or anyone else professionally associated with the competition. Entry is restricted to one per person. Once submitted, entries cannot be amended in any way. Late entries will not be accepted. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries received by the closing date. The winner will be contacted within seven days of the closing date of the competition. The prize is non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
