Vodka is good for you. Hurrah. Unless you drink nothing but vodka in which case you will end up very much dead. However, if you’re a fan of restraint and can limit yourself to just the occasional vodka then FOUR Magazine brings you a few ways in which it can improve your health:

Vodka is a more effective relaxant than any other alcohol and can help you destress.Vodka has fewer calories than other alcohol so you can basically drink yourself thin. Russian folklore suggestions that vodka can cure a cold. Worth a try. Vodka can lower high blood pressure anddecrease the risk of a stroke, Alzheimers, and type 2 Diabetes.

    So basically, when it comes to vodka, it’s all good. To celebrate this life-giving liquor, FOUR Magazine brings you a few suggestions on how to maximise on vodka’s health benefits.

    Stoli® Salted Lemon Drop

    2 parts Stoli® Salted Karamel

    1 part fresh lemon juice

    ½ part Triple Sec

    Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.

    In addition to all the good stuff you’re getting from the vodka, lemon juice acts as a liver cleanser and can aid weight lose. Ancient Egyptians believed that eating lemons prevented poisioning and according to recent studies there is actually some truth in this.

    Stoli® Salted Kir Royale

    1 part Stoli® Salted Karamel

    Sparkling wine

    ¼ part raspberry liqueur

    Serve in a flute.

    Stoli® Salted Karamel Snap

    2 parts Stoli® Salted Karamel

    ½ part ginger liqueur

    1 bar spoon orange marmalade

    Shake all ingredients, serve over ice in a rocks glass.

    Marmalade is high in vitamin C, low in sodium and low in calories.

    Stoli® Salted K Dog

    2 parts Stoli® Salted Karamel

    Grapefruit juice

    Build in an ice-filled highball glass with salt around the rim and stir.

    Grapefruits are high in vitamin C which can help your body fight colds. One study has shown that grapefruits can slow the development of breast cancer.

    1 part Stoli® Salted Karamel

    1 part apple juice

    Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled martini glass.

    Apple juice is high in vitamins A and C, as well as Calcium and Potassium.
