Aware that our premature mention of Christmas could cause some raucous amongst readers, we assure you in advance that our seasonal faux pas does come with the best intentions:The Restaurant at Meadowood, Napa Valley, home to Chef Christopher Kostow who was recently namedBest Chef: Westat the James Beard Awards 2013, has just informed FOUR that it will play host to one of the most exciting events this year, seeing an onslaught of some of the world’s leading chefs at its main stage. Naturally, we wanted to extend the exciting news to all our readers, even if it is 111 days and 12 hours until the festivities begin!
The Twelve Days of Christmas, aptly named after the events exciting 12-day itinerary of world-renowned chefs, including David Kinch, Rasmus Kofoed and David Chang, is the sixth annual event of its kind to be held at The Restaurant, from Saturday7 Decemberto Sturday 21 December 2013.
Benefitting Napa Valley Charities, The Holly Cranston Foundation and the Napa Emergency Women’s Service’s, this collaboration has raised more than $230,000 to help battle childhood hunger in partnership with Share our Strength since 2008. This year the event hopes to make an impact on local Children in Need.
Talking on the event, Chef Kostow said: “This event has always been an opportunity for us to give back; to promote the ethos of our restaurant and community, and to create an opportunity for prolonged cross pollination and enduring friendships.”
Kostow currently works closely with the invited guest chefs throughout the year to explore their unique flavours, inspirations and cultures, giving each night of the series a distinctive identity and uniqueness.

Tickets to dine in The Restaurant dining room are $395 per person, while seats at the Chef’s Counter are $750 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Meadowood donates $2,000 in honor of each chef plus 20 percent of every dinner ticket sold to be split between The Holly Cranston Foundation and NEWS. In addition to the charity partners, this year Meadowood also wishes to welcome and thank Napa Valley Tours & Transportation and Shramsberg Vineyards for their continued support.
