The famed London hotel, home to the legendary Blue Bar, will be taking to the streets with a bespoke new cocktail service delivered via Blue Bar Bikes that will bring the finest, expertly mixed drinks to your doorstep.

From 22 June 2020, the slick Blue Bar team will be taking their mixology skills kerbside, making and mixing drinks to order at local doorsteps. Seven days a week, SW1X residents can call upon The Berkeley when they are in the mood for a tipple, and the Blue Bar team, complete with ingredients and a full bar kit, will whiz to neighbors doors via their new wheels to satisfy these cravings, and mix the drinks there and then.

Whether it’s shaken or stirred, a Martini or a Margherita, the team will bring a little Blue Bar magic, safely, to local homes with complimentary delivery. Up to six servings of two types of cocktail can be whipped up per delivery and poured into the customers own glasses, or Blue Bar glassware can be purchased.

Beautifully presented bottled cocktails are also available for delivery. The Blue Bar-clad glass bottles come in two sizes – 200ml and 500ml – and include favorites such as the Negroni, Old Fashioned, Pear Tommy’s and Pimm’s Cup.

The Blue Bar – which marks it’s 20th anniversary this year – is the epicenter of mixology at the hotel, in addition to being the renowned London spot that helped spearhead the capital’s vibrant hotel bar scene upon opening. This new chapter will see the bar, mobile, for the very first time.

The Blue Bar Bikes will be serving from 5.30 – 9pm, seven days a week. To place an order, call The Berkeley on 020 7201 1653. Bespoke cocktails start from £18 and six bottled classic cocktails are also available for delivery – £19 for 200ml (2-3 servings) and £43 for 500ml bottles (5-6 drinks). Blue Bar glassware starts from £17. Delivery is complimentary.

The Blue Bar team gives the recipe to one of the most popular cocktails, the Wedding Cobbler:

Ingredients

  • 35ml Star of Bombay Gin
  • 15ml Muju Chinotto liqueur
  • 20ml Pineapple Syrup
  • 3 drops Lily of the valley essence (can use rose water alternately)
    50ml Brut champagne

Method

  1. Build the drink just like a spritz in a wine glass over ice.
  2. Garnish with a flower.
