Singapore welcomes Thomas Bühner

Three Michelin starred German chef Thomas Bühner will take part in the World Gourmet Summit 2014 in Singapore’s Dolce Vita, Mandarin Oriental.

Dolce Vita, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s award-winning poolside restaurant, presents a gastronomic adventure by three Michelin-starred chef, Thomas Bühner of La Vie in Osnabrück, Germany, from 1 to 4 April 2014.

Held in conjunction with the 18th edition of the World Gourmet Summit (WGS), Chef Bühner, joined by Dolce Vita’s hosting chef, Johnny Meitei, will showcase culinary flair through a variety of well-known signature dishes over the course of four days. Aptly named WGS Epicurean Delight, diners can look forward to much loved classics, such as the Hamachi, Quinoa Three-Piece Cauliflower accompanied with irresistible yuzu pralines; Foie Gras, Coca Cola laid atop tangy lemon granite and rocket leaves; and Turbot with Parsley Infusion, paired with savoury tandoori crème.

Bühner and Meitei will entice the palate with noteworthy masterpieces, including the flavourful and slightly spicy ginger marinated Langoustine with Kroepoek Crust; succulent Iberico Pig, served with bell pepper, potato and creamy butter beans; and delectable Beef Filet with Braised Chicory. Completing the unforgettable fine dining experience are Almond Milk Custard, Frozen Pandan or Strawberry Cucumber, an indulgent treat of Hendrick’s Gin jelly and basil meringue.

Available from 2 to 4 April 2014, a four-course lunch is priced at €56 per person, five-course lunch or dinner at €78 per person, and six-course dinner at €112 per person, whereas dinner is priced at S€277 per person on 1 April 2014.
