A weekend filled with creativity and collaboration, the PX+ festival aims to bring together all those involved in the hospitality industry to celebrate and learn more about gastronomy through hands-on workshops, talks and dining experiences.
The chefs at this year’s event include a list of culinary heavyweights, such as Clare Smyth (Core**), Will Goldfarb (Room 4 Dessert), Team Tom Kerridge (Tom Kerridge Restaurant Group, Greg Marchand (Frenchie*), Gareth Ward (Ynyshir*), Chantelle Nicholson (Tredwells), Doug McMaster (Silo), Alex Bond (Alchemilla), Andrew Clarke (St Leonards) and many more.
Many talented bakers, millers, farmers and grain breeders will also be at the event, including Kimberley Bell (Small Food Bakery, winner of 2018 BBC Food and Farming Awards), Louise Bannon (Tír Bakery Denmark formerly Noma)), Sarah Lemanski (Noisette Bakehouse, former YBF winner) and Wing Mon (Head Baker Ten Belles, Paris) to name a few.
In the era of the culinary world becoming more aware of sustainability, PX+ Festival will see producers, farmers and growers sharing their know-how. These include Natoora, Neal’s Yard Dairy, Hodmedods, Halen Mon Sea Salt, Cabrito Goat, Pump Street Chocolate and regenerative agriculture pioneers, Flourish Produce.
New for 2019, PX+ has introduced ‘Let’s Have A Drink With…’ a series of thought-provoking discussions curated by Sula Richardson and Clara Rubin and highlighting our ethos of Celebrate, Collaborate and Change. You asked for more honest and frank discussions and ‘Let’s Have A Drink With …’ will be the space for just that! Clara and Sula have put together an incredible line-up of sommeliers, mixologists, brewers, tea and coffee experts including Hannah Lanfear – The Mixing Class; Liam Scandrett – WSET; Asma Khan – Darjeeling Express; Michael Vachon – Maverick Drinks; Ania Smelskaya – Silo; Ben Walgate – Tillingham; Nik Darlington – Red Squirrel Wine; and Gavin Monery – Vagabond.
This year’s PX+ Festival is set to be a treat for all the senses, as well as an exciting space to learn more about all the hard work that goes into gastronomy behind the scenes. An event that any true foodie should not miss!
