In the run up to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards evening, being held at the Guildhall in London on 29 April, chef Brett Graham ofThe Ledburyrestaurant in London and chef Peter Gilmore ofQuayrestaurant, Sydney, Australia, are joining forces for one night only, to create a special dinner for guests and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants chefs atThe Ledburyrestaurant.

Taking place on 28April – the evening before The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony, the event will see both chef Brett Graham and chef Peter Gilmore, both of Australian heritage, preparing a menu featuring Poached Langoustine with Organic Rosehips, Radishes, Pink Turnips, Soured Cream and Wood Sorrel, Flame Grilled Mackerel with Avocado, English Wasabi and Shiso, along with three dessert courses, one of which is a Thyme, Honey, Olive Oil cream and Wild Strawberries dish with Frozen Hibiscus.

The Tasting Menu, which is priced at £140 per person with the option to have matching wines with each course, priced at £210, will be enjoyed by several of the 50 Best chefs attending the dinner.

Peter Gilmore’s restaurantQuayin Sydney currently sits at No.24 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, a prestigious awards which celebrates restaurants worldwide which are noted for their outstanding cuisine, whilst Brett Graham’s restaurantThe Ledburyis currently at No.14 and also received The Highest Climber award, for jumping 20 positions from No.34 to No.14 in the 2012 awards.

This year, FOUR hopes to see both restaurantQuayandThe Ledburyreceive accolades for their excellence – and with the celebratory dinner taking place the night before the awards, it could only be a good omen for the two chefs.
