Michael Caines sets up shop as Harrods’ latest Chef of the Season

The event took place yesterday, 3 September 2013, to mark the two Michelin-starred chef’s residence in Harrods’ Food Hall, which will offer visitors to the iconic store the chance to purchase and savour Michael’s very own food line.

One of Britain’s most acclaimed cooks, Michael Caines is Executive Chef at Gidleigh Park, a beautiful country house hotel in Dartmoor, Devon. His new title as Harrods’ Chef of the Season means that for the first time, fine-dining lovers in London will have the chance to sample his cuisine and bring his Michelin starred dishes home, without having to stand at the stove.

For the next two months, from10 September 2013, Michael will offer an exclusive selection of food-to-go meals inspired by recipes from his forthcoming book, Michael Caines At Home, set to be published later on this year on3 October 2013.

Dishes in the range include: roulade of salmon rillettes; bouillabaisse with sea bass, prawns, scallops and salmon; beef bourguignon with rosti potatoes and red wine sauce; and apple tart with vanilla ice cream.

What’s more, we’ve managed to get our hands on a few recipes from Michael’s book to mark its imminent arrival!
