The Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival will take place between 22 and 25 August, with a line-up including many of the world’s best chefs and musicians.

The annual Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival will take place between 22and 25 August. This epicurean festival, now in its fourth year, celebrates California’s exceptional gastronomic culture and culinary personalities.

The line-up for this year’s festival has just been announced and includes a selection of top chefs alongside international music stars, such as Gavin DeGraw.

The inaugural day of the festival sees internationally renowned chef Thomas Keller dishing up a blend of Italian cuisine with a Californian twist. Keller will be working alongside Michael Chiarello (Bottega, Napa Valley), Gino Angelini (Rivabella), Ori Menashe (Bestia), Evan Funke (Bucato), and Antonio Giordano (Terroni). To accompany this meal, over two hundred wines will be available, predominantly Californian but with samples from all over the world.

Friday’s events form a slightly more casual timetable, kicking off with a Tacos & Tequila event at The Bungalow Santa Monica. This is followed by Iron Chef star Morimoto hosting an Asian Night Market, celebrating the cultural diversity of Los Angeles cuisine. Celebrity chefs including Bryant Ng (Spice Table), Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market), and David Myers (Hinoki & The Bird) will be cooking a range of international dishes.

Saturday sees a celebration of music and food with performances from platinum recording artist Gavin DeGraw and culinary demonstrations from chef Ben Ford. Grammy award winner and organic food line founder Ziggy Marley will also take part in a cooking demonstration.

Profits raised from ticket sales go towards the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. The campaign aids nutrition programmes and helps children in need gain access to them. It also pays for school breakfasts and summer meals as well as working with low-income families to teach them how to cook healthy, nutritional food within a limited budget.

Tickets start at $50.00.
