Now in its fifth year, London Restaurant Week is returning to the capital from today, 3 October until 21 October, with even more restaurants, Michelin starred chefs and award-winning cuisine on offer than ever before! Curating this year’s fest is chef, food writer and journalist Gizzi Erskine and television presenter Jonathan Ross, who will be hosting a special film event in partnership with BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.

A whopping 350 restaurants will be taking part in what has now become the capital’s biggest restaurant festival. And there’s no wonder when you consider its ethos: to bring outstanding cuisine to London’s food-lovers at exceedingly good value.

The festival will revolve around eight evocatively entitled main events, including: TAPAS TOURS, in partnership with Estrella Damm which will give festival-goers the opportunity to sample some of the best Spanish cuisine the capital has to offer from restaurants such as one Michelin star Amesta with Arzak Instruction, home of chef Elena Arzak – winner of the Veuve Clicquot Best Female Chef Award 2012, part of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list; CICCHETTI TRAILS in partnership with Peroni Nastro Azzurro, featuring Massimo and Theo Randall at the InterContinental; and JAPANESE JOURNEYS, featuring Inamo, Tonkotsu and Shoryu.

GOURMET ODYSSEY – LRFs showstopper culinary tour in collaboration withChampagne Laurent-Perrier – has an enviable list of fine-dining restaurants for punters to sink their teeth into, including: Shard restaurants aqua shard and Hutong; and unrivalled views of the city. aqua shard, David Yeo, the founder of Aqua Restaurant Group, opened aqua shard bringing the essence of modern London with inventive British cuisine to Level 31 of The Shard, Western Europe’s tallest building.

Hutongon the Level 33 a contemporary Chinese restaurant modeled on the Hong Kong restaurant of the same name and specialising in food from northern China.

Champagne Laurent-Perrier will be served with every course at every restaurant in every tour.

Chef Anthony Demetre’s Michelin starred cuisine will also be making an appearance in LRFs GRAZE tour, at his restaurant Arbutus along with Dishoom, Cotidie and Rotary and Providores.

Another highlight is LRFs latest edition to its list of culinary tours, SUNDAY BEST, an exclusive event for American Express Cardmembers, where guests can dine at some of the most celebrated restaurants in town, in the company of the chefs, including: Jason Atherton, Theo Randall, Angela Hartnett, Mark Sergeant and Marianne Lumb who are set to cook one-off Sunday lunches, followed by a meet and greet with guests.
