I would wake up to…

…a massive Bloody Mary made with fresh horseradish, nutmeg, celery salt, loads of tabasco, salt and pepper, red wine, Worcestershire sauce and a massive shot of Vodka garnished with a large stick of celery and a cherry tomato.

I’d drink…

…a Manhattan or a Negroni (or both)

and eat…

…a medium rare rib eye steak with triple cooked chips and grilled bone marrow at Hawksmore.

I’d prioritize…

…training and development for the new and up and coming mixologists by giving them the much needed foundation (understanding the importance of the base spirit, syrups, bitters etc.) so then they can spread their wings and carry the knowledge for many generations to come.

I’d make sure every knows about…

…The Atlantic Bar and Grill (now closed) at Glasshouse street during the 90’s where cocktails were revolutionised by Dick Bradsell and Douglas Ankrah and the bartenders that worked there.

The national drink would be…

…Sweet Manhattan. My recipe would be 45ml Makers Mark Bourbon stirred with 10ml Punt e Mes, 10ml Martini Roso, 5ml Cherry Marnier and 3 bar spoons of Griottine cherry syrup.

My Royal Palace would be…

…Shukri Shafis traditional Malaysian house in the jungle (Cook with Shuk cooking school) in Langkawi Island in Malaysia, made up of 99 islands on Malaysia’s west coast. Surrounded by turquoise sea, the interior of the main island is a mixture of picturesque paddy fields and jungle-clad hills. It is a duty free Island so alcohol is very cheap.

My people would have to…

…get along with each other;they would have to be considerate, generous, kind and understanding.

I would bring back…

…Atlantic Bar and Grill from the 90’s just for a night and I would get the original bar team (Gavin, Buzz, Nick, Tino, Alberto, Jamie, Dre, Ozzie, Sam, Vic, Leo, Chan Sing, Alan, Adam, Marco, Vlad) behind the bar and relive the rebirth of the Cocktails.

I would travel…

…alot and would spread the love for the mixology using fruits, alcohol, vegetables, spices, juices from all over the world.

I would knight…

…Dick Bradsell for giving us amazing drinks such as Espresso Martini, Bramble, Treacle to name a few.
