If you’re a fan of outstanding Argentinian cuisine, don’t miss out on this upcoming pop-up dinner series with Gaucho x Tegui.

Gaucho is set to collaborate with World’s 50 Best restaurant, Tegui, for an exclusive dinner series this spring.

Taking place in early April, Gaucho will be hosting an exciting series of dinners with world-renowned Argentinian restaurant Tegui and its Chef Patron, Germán Martitegui.

Martitegui’s unique approach to cooking has contributed to contemporary Argentine cuisine being put on the map. It also earned Tegui its place as number 11 on Latin America’s 50 Best, and on the World’s 50 Best Restaurant list this year.

His dishes and ingredients used are inspired by the 23 provinces of Argentina and complement Gaucho’s cuisine perfectly. With a passion for local produce, his dedication to his craft has reaped numerous awards –  including The Chefs’ Choice Awards 2017 and Best Restaurant in Argentina 2018.

From 9th-11th April, join the highly celebrated chef for an exclusive six course menu to be paired with some of Argentina’s most exciting wines, chosen by independent Argentine sommelier, Sorrel Moseley-Williams.

With an innovative menu showcasing Martitegui’s signature style of cooking, the exclusive dinners will be a one- off chance to experience his food in the UK.

During the pop-up, guests can try a flavour of dishes famously served at Tegui, such as his signature dish of grilled oysters, strawberries and seaweed.

Tickets will be available for an exclusive evening on 9th April with Martitegui, where guests will enjoy a stunning tasting menu whilst dining with the man himself.

Attendees will have the chance to hear his fascinating story and about the dishes served, Spaces to this dinner are extremely limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you miss this exclusive evening, the tasting menu will also be available on 10th and 11th April, when Germán and his team will be taking over service.

The collaboration will come as part of a series of guest-chef led events, in Gaucho’s new focus on celebrating its Latin-American heritage.

For Martitegui, it’s a chance to work with one of his favourite brands.

He told us: “I am a huge fan of the Gaucho brand, and myself and my team of chefs are incredibly excited to come back to London and welcome guests in such an iconic restaurant.”
