James Beard Awards Finalists announced

The James Beard Awards Finalists were announced today with a wide range of talent across America being celebrated, from top chefs and restaurants, to those who endorse them.

TheJames Beard Foundation has announced the finalists for the 2015 James Beard Awards at the James Beard House in New York City.The Book, Broadcast and Journalism Award winners will be announced on April 24. The winners in the chefs and restaurant categories will be announced on Monday, 4 Mayat the Lyric Opera House in Chicago.

Covering all aspects of the industry—from chefs and restaurateurs to cookbook authors and food journalists to restaurant designers and architects and more—the Beard Awards are the highest honour for food and beverage professionals working in North America. The awards are presented each spring at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. The first Awards took place in 1991 as a product of The James Beard Foundation, which was set up in 1986, after the death of epicurean James Beard (pictured), whose kitchen was truly at the heart of America’s burgeoning food scene in the 20thcentury.
