With its history dating back to 1955, when master goldsmith Emil Mössner opened up his first atelier in Eisingen, IsabelleFa has continued to produce high-quality gold chains and precious alloy jewellery. The iron loyalty to traditional chain making has stood the test of time.
Mössner ran his successful manufacture until the 80s before handing the reins to his son Hans-Georg and his wife Isabelle, who are also master goldsmiths. Although Isabelle and Hans-Georg recognised that the father’s legacy must continue, and that the traditional production methods were an artform not to be forgotten, they also wanted to put their own mark on the jewellery that they created.
After meeting Isabelle Fagnoul at Pforzheim Goldsmith School, the pair instantly fell in love with not only each other but also with the concept of making high-quality, timeless jewelry. From there, the second generation of Mössner gold jewellery was born under the name of IsabelleFa. Inspired by Isabelle and her maiden name “Fagnoul”, the brand was created in 1987 and would continue to stand for timeless, plain and distinctive jewellery pieces from Eisingen. IsabelleFa offers unique, handmade jewelry for people who love beauty and value of craftsmanship.
The company is proud of its heritage of traditional chain making, as it lends itself so well to the production of its stunning voluminous pieces of jewellery and requires know-how that is hard to find. The classical techniques allows to create flawless surfaces in large formats with a quality that far surpasses any mechanical production processes.
Likewise, every 18 karat gold alloy is different. At IsabelleFa, all gold alloys are melted exclusively in-house. Century-old knowledge and their own gold alloy recipes, such as the patented red gold alloy “RougeRoyal” have allowed IsabelleFa to really stand out from their contemporaries. The company also only manufactures with recycled gold from certified sources, ensuring fully translucent provenance of each piece.
The jewellery that Isabelle and Hans-Georg Mössner create not only tells a story of tradition and beauty, but it sets a standard of skill and quality the world over. For this reason, only a few hundred chains, collars and bangles are produced per year. Some of the most iconic pieces of the IsabelleFa portfolio include The ChaCha chain. Handcrafted from 18-karat gold, the necklace features an individually set diamond to show the wearer where to find the invisible clasp. A flawless piece, The ChaCha chain has been a classic since the brand’s inception and remains as popular as ever.
Naturally, the ‘jewel in the crown’, was the invention of the Navette chain. A milestone for the brand, the Navette chain was premiered at the end of the 80s and is emblematic of the company. With its characteristic pointed oval shaped individual eyelets, the design of the Navette chain is completely distinctive of the brand and has even been integrated into the company logo.
“To forge timeless classics, the goldsmiths set the highest standards for themselves and their creations. It is a question of quality and longevity, the appreciation of the finest details and the love for craftsmanship.” – Isabelle and Hans-Georg Mössner.
