Hot on the heels of the luxury brand and talented chef’s first collaboration Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Florence receiving a Michelin star in Italy’s 2020 revelation, the Italian fashion house has expanded stateside.

A welcome addition to LA’s Rodeo Drive, the new Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Beverly Hills is an intimate, chic oasis perched on the roof of the fashion house’s Rodeo Drive boutique. The restaurant, which opened on February 17 2020, is both Gucci and Bottura’s first dining concept based in the US and is a continuation of the collaboration that first began in 2018.

Combining culture, food and fashion, the Osteria will serve Massimo’s famed Italian cuisine to a tranquil backdrop accented with Gucci décor  including traditional herringbone wood floors, burgundy marble tabletops and cherry-red velvet banquettes. Homely touches are interspered between the luxuriousness, with woven chairs antique mirrors and wooden trims adding warmth to the space.

On the outside, large glass folding doors open to a marble-clad terrace with an antique pulpit bar and panoramic views over Beverly Hills with its towering palm trees and mesmerizing skyline.

The Los Angeles outpost’s menu was developed with the assistance of Florence’s Chef de Cuisine Karime López, and features classic Italian dishes with multi-cultural twists that honor the wide variety of culinary influences that are found only in LA.

Fresh, organic ingredients sourced from local markets will be used in the creation of the dishes, which include Bottura’s renowned pasta creations. Think tortellini with Parmigiano-Reggiano cream and the Emilia burger, a lavish take on American sandwiches using cotechino, salsa verde and balsamic mayonnaise.

The new restaurant will iseat 50 guests for lunch and dinner every day of the week.
