If you have ever wanted to enjoy ZUMA from the comfort of your luxury seaside abode, then look no further than Idle Rocks this summer. The top British hideaway will be playing host to the award winning and internationally acclaimed ZUMA restaurant, from London’s Knightsbridge.
The hotel aims to create a two-night culinary experience like no other, which will allow guests to sample some of the finest local seafood and seasonal produce, prepared by the finest chefs.
The menu will be specially crafted by the team at Zuma so that on the evenings of the 21st and 22nd of August, guests will be able to sample never before seen dishes and taste sensations. The menu will reflect the non-classical, ‘izakaya’ style of ZUMA’s signature cuisine, but on this occasion also using the wealth of local Cornish produce at hand.
David Richards comments: “We are delighted to welcome ZUMA to The Idle Rocks for an exciting marriage between traditional coastal culture and contemporary Japanese cuisine. This is the first time ever that ZUMA has collaborated with a hotel in the UK reinforcing Cornwall’s culinary credentials. We are excited for the local community and our guests to sample the Chef’s unique creations.”
We can reveal that highlights from the menu will include iconic ZUMA dishes such as; sliced yellowtail with green chilli relish, ponzu and pickled garlic; marinated black cod wrapped in hoba leaf and roasted Cornish lobster with green chilli, garlic and hojiso butter will be available, all showcasing the best of Cornwall’s seafood, paired with matching wines and sakes.
This culinary experience can be enjoyed all from the hotel’s outdoor terrace, which overlooks the picturesque harbor of St Mawes. With breathtaking sea views and a surrounding that could be more fitting, ZUMA at The Idle Rocks will be match made in heaven.
