The annual celebration that recognises culinary talent from around the globe will take place in New York City for next years, 2016 ceremony.The announcement from the organization comes ahead of tonight’s 2015 awards, which will perhaps be the last time for a while that it will be held in the UK capital.
Ever since 2002, when the list was first created, London has played host to the 14 ceremonies that have been successfully executed by William Reed Media, owners of the organization.With visitors travelling from across the globe to celebrate the finest chefs, restaurants and establishments from Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, it became clear that a global relocation strategy would help promote the event to an even larger audience.

With a new relocation programme in mind for the event, the World’s 50 best could see itself taking place in any number of locations across the globe from Asia, to the Middle East every two to three years.
