Last night saw the climax of three years worth of planning to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Cognac brand Martell at Paris’s 17-century Château de Versailles, France.

Last night’sevent saw 300 privileged guests come together, with host Philippe Guettat, Chairman and CEO of Martell, and brand ambassador Diane Kruger joined by royalty, Hollywood celebrities and the world’s media at theChâteaudeVersaillesto not only celebrate 300 years of this iconic brand, but also the French ‘art de vivre’!

Following a press conference, the evening began with a private tour of theChâteaudeVersailles, including its magnificent Hall of Mirrors, followed by a spectacular sunset flyover courtesy of thePatrouille de France, before guests were treated to a drinks reception and an unforgettable gastronomic journey curated by Paul Pairet.

TheShanghai-based French chef, of restaurant Ultraviolet, took guests on an evocative journey through his signature multi-sensory style. While the Martell was flowing, Pairet achieved the impossible and left guests feeling sufficiently drunk on food alone.

Following the dinner, the night came to a close with a theatrical fireworks display above the palace.

While the event brought guests together to celebrate Martell’s tercentenary, it is also just the beginning of a new journey for the brand and Diane Kruger, as they announced plans for their #Martell300 campaign to search for the next 300 game changing individuals in the worlds of gastronomy, fashion, art and unique craftsmanship, whose sprit embodies the French ‘Art de Vivre’.
