Luxury store, Harrods has nominated Michelin-starred culinary king Tom Aikens as guest chef and Chef of the Season, for its much-celebrated foodie campaign at the Food Halls…

For four months from the 4 November 2014, Michelin star chef will be gracing Harrods’ Food Hall as their Chef of the Season. Offering seasonal dishes-to-go, will be staying true to his comfort food style in his own dedicatedarea within the traiteur counter.

Until 2 January 2015 classic Christmas dishes will be up for grabs with the likes of roast turkey breast and trimmings, anda venison casserole with cranberry and root vegetable mash. There will also be a variety ofcanapés for those who want a Michelin-starredquick fix for entertaining over the Christmas period, with selections likebeetroot-cured salmon, seven-hour lamb croquettes, and a sweet chocolate hot pot.

After the Christmas period, will offer winter warmers until the end of February, withstarters, mains and puddings, such as spicy crab cakes, braised beef cheeks, and apple and Calvados tart with maple syrup ice-cream.

Tom Aikens has become aNorfolk-born, flame-haired popular culinary master that most people recognise. He is chef owner of three London-based restaurants, after having closed two Michelin star Tom Aikens’ Restaurant in Chelsea in January 2013. His cuisine is notably relaxed and refined, focusing on well sourced and high-quality produce, natural and organic ingredients and UK-based producers.
