The Ritz-Carlton, Abama, the bastion of chic on the Canary Island of Tenerife has been selected as the venue of choice for the official announcement of the 2018 Michelin guide to Spain & Portugal. The highly-anticipated awards ceremony and gala will take place on the 22nd November 2017, receiving the crème of the region’s chefs, national and international media and food critics.
With a global reputation for gastronomic excellence, the resort will play host to the Michelin guide’s gala with a decadent feast co-ordinated by Executive Chef Erlantz Gorostiza of The Ritz-Carlton, Abama’s world-renowned M.B restaurant. The event, supported by the eight Michelin-star founder of M.B. chef Martín Berasategui, along with Ricardo Sanz of the cult Japanese fusion restaurant Kabuki, and the respective award-winning Abama Kabuki, will see a menu showcasing the delights of Tenerife’s Michelin gastronomy. Industry guests, by invitation, will enjoy creations from Tenerife’s Michelin accredited restaurants including Martin Berasategui’s M.B., Chef Daniel Franco’s creative fusions at Abama Kabuki, El Rincón de Juan Carlos, and Kazan in Santa Cruz.
