Osteria Francescana at Sotheby’s

For three days only the galleries at Sotheby’s London auction house will present their newest guest, the luxury pop up that is Osteria Francescana.

The temporary fine dining eatery from three Michelin star chef, Massimo Bottura, will showcase his award winning style that has placed him firmly in the Worlds 50 best top spots. After moving up a place from lastyears No.3 spot to being crowned No.2 only two days ago, Bottura’s modern classic dishes have managed to cater for both the demands of heritage, and lust of modernity. The combination of traditional Italian cuisine executed with finesse and Massimo’s innovative flair, have allowed his food to reach out to all dining appetites. It is no surprise that his work was reconised by the World’s 50 Best and this pop up is definitely not one to be missed.

The pop takes its name and culinary concept from Bottura’s original Osteria Francescana, in Modena. The medieval Italian city is an area steeped in history and known for its gastronomic delicacies such as balsamic vinegar, parmesan and prosciutto. With Massimo bringing some of these luxuries to London, it will be the perfect Italian accompaniment to the fine art auction house.

The restaurant will open its doors for three days on the evenings of 27, 28 and 29 June 2015 from 7:30pm.A seven-course tasting menu will be available for £250 per head and an opportunity to pair wine with this menu will also be available.
