Jason Atherton has recently revealed that he and chef patron, Tristin Farmer, are in the process of making plans for a one-off event with Chef Tom Kerridgeat Marina Social Dubai. The event will take place on November 9th, and will see the two celebrated chefs host a dinner to rememberat what is considered one of Dubai’s best restaurants, Marina Social.
Chef Atherton, who has already forged a steady culinary empire, will be joined by Tom Kerridge,whose pub The Hand and Flowers holds two Michelin stars, to cook up a seven-course tasting menu. With each chef contributing to each course, it will be a culinary voyage of discovery as all thechefs are known forchampioningrobust British and French dishes, that take advantage of the best available produce.
JasonAtherton has been building his culinary empire since opening his first restaurant, Table No.1 in 2010 and has now accumulated a plethora of awards that celebrate his prowess in the kitchen at his numerous restaurants. His ethos follows well sourced, fresh ingredients that are combined with technical accuracy to produce taste sensations. His restaurants vary from casual, comforting diners to fine-dining, Michelin star restaurants, all with wonderful success.
Likewise, Chef Kerridge carefully sourcing ingredients according to season – chicken and pork from Suffolk, beef from the local Hambleden Estate, vegetables from Covent Garden – and local suppliers are used where possible. Signatures include Smoked Haddock and Parmesan Omelette ; and Thame pigeon and foie gras “en croûte”. More seasonal dishes might include braised leg of rabbit with English baby carrots, toasted caraway seeds, cauliflower risotto and herb sauce, so only time will tell what highlights will be on the tasting menu at the Marina Social on November 9th.
