Known for holding the international record outside of France for having three Michelin stars, Michel Roux will take a piece of his world famous The Waterside Inn in Bray to Malaysia for a unique series of dinners and a culinary masterclass.
The series of three five-course dinners at The Datai Langkawi, will mark the first trip that the celebrated chef has taken to Malaysia.
Accompanied by a small group of his trusted entourage; chef Simone Tricarico, pâtissier Stephanie Aubriot, Jordi Fumado from his front of house team, and master sommelier, Pierre Bat, of Bordeaux’s Maison Veyret La Tour who will host the pre dinner Champagne and canapé reception. Together with the accomplished team, Chef Roux hopes to bring an authentic taste of The Waterside to Malaysia.
Looking ahead to his residency, Michel Roux said: “This will be an incredible partnership; I am overjoyed at the prospect of cooking at this iconic hotel in such a magical location. I cannot wait to work with Arnaud Girodon, who is such an inspired General Manager, and to spoil and inspire his guests at The Datai”.
This unique dinner series will not only allow special guests to sample the stunning cuisine of Michel Roux through his five-course tasting menu’s, but also the opportunity to interact with the chef through intimate tasting sessions and wine pairing sessions.
For those whowantto learneven more from the iconic chef,Michel Rouxwill also be hosting a masterclass in which he and his team will show participants how to prepare with finesse an inspired three-course lunch, which they will all then share and enjoy all set against the backdrop of the picturesque Malaysian landscape.
