Kicking off an ongoing list of wonderful chefs, Head Chef James Lowe is welcoming Leandro Carreira to his kitchen later this month…

It is no secret that James Lowe – one third of the Young Turks – is a rumbling culinary force to watch at the moment. Having opened Lyle’s inthe Tea Building in Shoreditch earlier this year with John Ogier and Jyo, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi(the family behind TrishnaandGymkhana), he has just announced that he will be welcoming a guest chef into his kitchen regularly from now on.

Only a few weeks ago, Koya’s Junya Yamasaki was cooking up a feast with James, which has clearly prompted the regularseries ofculinary collaborations. This month will seeLeandro Carreira joinJames and his team.

“Leo’s currently looking for his own site, he’s a huge talent and I’m really excited he’s up for cooking with us at Lyle’s,” James says.

Having worked in the kitchens of some absolute masters -including ‘sMugaritz, and ‘Viajante Restaurant -Chef Carreira will join hands with James to work on his menu for the night. It’s been said that, true to Lyle’s culinary theme, the menuwill showcase some of the best seasonal British produce and is likely to include some of the first mallard in season, fermented plums in beeswax, cuttlefish, cobnuts and a yeasted ginger cake.
