The latest edition of the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival is taking place in the north of Germany from September 2015 to March 2016.
Tour de Gourmet Solitaire

After 29 years, the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival is still going strong. This year’s festival will open with a grand gala at the Maritim Seehotel at Timmendorfer Strand on 20 September. Lokal chef Lutz Niemand has invited his dream team to his Baltic Sea kitchen, consisting of Cornelia Poletto, Jörg Sackmann and Harald Wohlfart, combining six Michelin stars and 66.5 Gault Millau points.

The opening gala will be followed by 32 events of the highest order, featuring 18 first-class guest chefs, among them Dane Kenneth Hansen and two-Michelin-star chef Rolf Fliegauf from Switzerland. First the first time ever, there will be four women among them: Jacqueline Amirfallah, Maria Groß, Sarah Henke and Cornelia Poletto. Between September 2015 and March 2016, 15 participating houses will play host to these chefs and promote not only international talent, but also local ingredients.

Like in previous years, the Tour de Gourmet Jounesse gives young connoisseurs under 35 the chance to discover gourmet cuisine. But this year, the festival offers a new concept: the first Tour de Gourmet Solitaire for single travellers over 40, taking place on Sunday, 6 March 2016. Up to 36 guests will be shuttled between three participating restaurants (Park Hotel Ahrensburg, VITALIA Seehotel in Bad Segeberg and Der Seehof in Ratzeburg) and be presented with a cleverly arranged four-course meal.
