This year’s bestselling restaurant guide for the UK has revealed its top dining venues, along with some unusual finds (restaurant in a Yurt) and unexpected surprises…

Since 1951 The Good Food Guide hasbeen reviewing and writing about restaurants, pubs and cafés, bringing together the best places to eat out from throughout the country. This year’s guide for 2017 was no different and with even more in store, this guide will have you touring the country in search of these culinary delights.

Amongst this year’s front runners were two Michelin starChef, s’, restaurant L’Enclume. Coming top of the list for the fourth year running, and having recieved perfect tens for 5 years running, this is indeed a firm favourite.Known for his technical brilliance, Simon Rogan is one of the most exciting and innovative chefs in the UK today. His restaurants include L’Enclume in Cumbria and Roganic in London. Simon uses ingredients farmed on the grounds of L’Enclume, including herbs, flowers, vegetables and other foraged produce.

The guide also announced a brand new ‘perfect 10’ in the form of Restaurant in Port Isaac, Cornwall, which appears at no. 2 in the Top 50, as well high scores for Nottinghamshore’s first Michelin star winner, for his eponymous restaurant, Restaurant Sat Bains. Also to score highly was FOUR’s very own Chef ambassador, . for his London eatery, Pollen Street Social. Boasting asAtherton’s first UK solo restaurant, it has featured in the top spots for two consecutive years andcurrently holds oneMichelin star, which it gained within a year of opening.
