Lanzarote gets a Michelin makeover with its guest chef season starting in September

Usually known for its superb watersports facilities and competitions, Lanzarote will now shine, as it becomes a haven for foodies.During the coming autumn and winter months, Lanzarote will continue to provide the ideal setting to Michelin star chef takeovers.With average temperatures for that time of year staying in the low twenties, who can resist the chance to feast on tasting menu’s fit for a king whilst basking in the sun.

Over a series of three gastronomy evenings, from now until November 2015, the resort will be delighting guests with the delicacies of Michelin Starred Chefs, highly trained chefs to royalty, and TV chef personalities such as; Rafael Sanchez, head chef at the gourmet Es Fum restaurant, René Mathieu, former Chef de cuisine for the Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg and current chef at the elegant La Distillerie restaurant at Château Bourlingster. These chefs will be designing and cooking exclusive tasting menus which visitors to the luxury Princesa Yaiza hotel will be able to book for a one-off dining experience.

The next gourmet dinner takeover will begin on the 7th to the13th September where internationally renowned chef, Rene Mathieu, will dazzle guests with his elegant signature dishes that he served up to the Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg.

This will then be followed by the highly anticipated appearance of of award-winning Restaurant Es Fum in Mallorca. He will take residency at Princesa Yaiza from the 5th to the 7th November where he will be demonstrating his unique and contemporary style of cooking.

This is set to be truly wonderful culinary experience set to the backdrop of stunning sea views and picturesque gardens.
