Award-winning chef, Dominque Crenn confirms opening date for her latest venture.

Earlier this month, Dominique Crenn made the exciting announcement via Instagram that the opening date for her latest venture, Bar Crenn has been confirmed. With February 20th marking it’s official inauguration, Bar Crenn will pay homage to iconic France chefs.

The casual wine bar and eatery will be located adjacent to Crenn’s two-Michelin-starred Atelier Crenn, and will feature a rotating menu of roughly eight sharing dishes. The dishes are a nod to French classics and will include Crenn’s own take on recipes such as taste flambé, escargot, cannelés de Bordeaux and many more.

The elegant space has been designed by Karan Brady Interiors, and takes inspiration from 30’s Paris. Bar Crenn will offer guests a chance to relax and socialise in a warm, lounge-style atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.

In her own words, “Bar Crenn will also have its own entity. The wine: In this sensual and intimate space Wine Director Matt Montrose has amassed a collection of the great wines of France and beyond that channel our shared philosophy of environmental responsibility, where vignerons and domaines are showcased that prioritize traditional methods of viticulture as well as careful and thoughtful stewardship of the land. A rotating collection of wines are available by the glass as well as a more developed bottle list of some remarkable producers of world-class wine. There is also a cocktail program that offers a small low-proof cocktail selection with a nod to old-style French aperitifs, but with a modern and localized element of Northern California ingredients and inspirations.”
