Obsession 16 – Day One

The award-winning restaurant Northcote, from Michelin-star chefNigel Haworth, has officially starteditsObsession 16 event with a fine dining extravangaza from Jean-Luc Rocha.Obsession is Northcote’s annual homage to the finest food and wine,and has firmlyestablished itself as one of Europe’s premier gastronomic events.

The series of dining events will take place from 22 January to 7 February 2016,and marks the 16th anniversary of fine dining from the restaurant at Northcote in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire.

The fantastic event will see 18 top guest chefs from around the world take part in a series of dinners set over 16 days of culinary magic.With 2-star chef Jean-Luc Rocha having kickedoffthe dinners last Friday, guests are invited to continue toshare in the celebrations of their 16-year anniversary with fabulous food, great wines and the restaurant’s infamous stellar service.

With two-star Jean-Luc being famous for hisblend of classical and modern French cuisine, each chef will create their own unique menu, which will combine the very best of their cuisine with the finest local produce that Lancashire’s and the North West have to offer.

Jean-Luc’s exquisite menu comprised ofeach course beingpairedwith fine wines from Bordeaux and elsewhere. His cuisine is contemporary, readable, savory and well balanced, highlighting its ingredients and flavours. His dishes are complemented by splashes of fantasy and research to surprise and enlight his guests.
