La Tour Hotel’s partnership with Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing

Independent operator Hotel La Tour secured a culinary coup to work withMarcus Wareing, one of the brightest stars in British cooking.

It was a partnership which began – appropriately enough – in the kitchen, when hotel MD Jane Schofield who says she has ‘always greatly admired Marcus’, approached the Michelin-starred chef for advice.

From assisting in the design of the kitchen and restaurant and aiding in recruitment, chef Wareing has aided the whole set up of Aalto Restaurant at Hotel La Tour, which today garners its title as a luxury four-star.

Wareing’s meticulous attention to detail and ongoing demand for the very best in service standards, have assisted the hotel’s Aalto Restaurant in making its mark on the foodie scene in Birmingham, the UK’s second city which holds more Michelin stars than any other English city outside of London. As the hotel celebrated its first birthday and Hotel La Tour announced plans for future developments, he continues to assist in overseeing the menu of classic British dishes presented with a modern twist and in recruitment and training of the kitchen, restaurant and bar team.
