Three Michelin star chef, Thomas Kellerannounced plans to extend his restaurant portfolio to the Hudson Yards project that is currently under development in the far west side of Manhattan, New York.

It has been suggested that new restaurant will be a classic American eatery but knowing his trademark style, this restaurant will no doubt be a cut above the norm.

The estimated $15 billion Hudson Yardsproject is an attempt to reimagine the cityscape by offering new cultural attractions, art space, parks andapartments, retail outlets and a buzzing food scene. It is proposed that the restaurants and shops will be housed in a 1-million-square-foot space and anchored by the city’s first Neiman Marcus store.

Thomas Keller will also be helping to oversee the selection of 11 other restaurants for the project site by collaborating with Kenneth A. Himmel, retail developer, restaurateur and president of Related Urban. The restaurants are set to open in 2018 and according to Keller, they’re aim is to assemble”a dynamic group, at different price points with ethnic diversity,”

With a restaurant profile that includes fine dining establishments such as Per Se and Bouchon Bakery in New York City, as well as The French Laundry in California, the new restaurant will no doubt add another successful venture to his collection.
