This November 3rd-5th Executive chef Thomas Piat of Bar Boulud, London, will be joined by both award-winning Daniel Boulud, as well as two Michelin star chef, Mauro Colagreco, as they co-create a menu that reflects the gourmet cuisine of Colagreco’s Cote D’Azur base and the fine French fare that Bar Boulud is famous for.
The exclusive dinners will take place at Bar Boulud, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, and will be the first time that Colagreco has partnered with the team of three-michelin star chef’s, Daniel Boulud, London venue.
Hailing from Italian and Argentinian origin, Mauro has spent the past 14 years in France working under Bernard Loiseau, Alain Passard and Alain Ducasse. He is renowned for his understanding of French cuisine, which as Chef Patron of restaurant Mirazur, Menton in the Cote D’Azur, has seen him receive two Michelin stars.
Speaking about his biggest cooking influences, Mauro explains, “My cooking style is fresh with a lot of green. I try to take out the green of the vegetables and express that on the plate, so my food is from my terroir – from my garden and produce”.
With a philosophy on food that clearly has its roots firmly buried in the freshness and simplicity of food, Mauro’s main aim is to bring out the true flavour of the ingredients. With this in mind he will be perfectly at home within the kitchens of the fine French bistro, alongside the brilliant Daniel Boulud and his esteemed protege, Thomas Piat.
