Basque-born chef Eneko Atxa will be gracing London’s dining scene next summer and bringing with him his three Michelin star fare.
The award-winning chef announced plans to launch an informal Basque restaurant and bar in partnership with One Aldwych Hotel, where all those in the British capital can enjoy his carefully crafted cuisine.
Kostas Sfaltos, One Aldwych’s General Manager, who commented:
“Eneko has incredible vision and passion for Basque cuisine and shares the same standards of quality, quest for innovation and respect for traditions as we do”.
As a chef who prides himself on incorporating local produce into his menus and work, the new collaboration will enable Eneko to produce inventive takes on his signature dishes, whilst showcasing the finest British ingredients.
Ranked #19 in the World’s Best Restaurant list, the new dining concept from Atxa and Sfaltos will pay homage to the modern ‘Bistronomy’ movement, where diners are offered gourmet dishes in a relaxed and understated atmosphere.
He says: “We aim to create an unpretentious modern take on rustic Basque cuisine, based on quality ingredients, simplicity and culinary heritage. One Aldwych Hotel is the perfect partner for this joint creation”.
