In today’s ever-changing world, Michelin-starred TATE Dining Room in Hong Kong finds innovation in its culinary craft beyond the traditional dine-in restaurant experience. Chef-owner Vicky Lau introduces Date by TATE, a new private home dining experience and online gourmet shopping platform that brings a Michelin-starred restaurant experience directly to your door.

Designed to enjoy with any intimate occasion, from birthdays and romantic date-nights to simply celebrating the end of a busy week, Date by TATE enhances the at-home dining experience with a fully-catered multi-course menu, beverage pairing, and a specially curated music playlist.

“AN ODE TO HOME” Gastronomy Box by Chef Vicky Lau

Embark on an innovative French-Chinese culinary journey shared and celebrated with loved ones in the comforts of your home. Guests may rest assured that all Date by TATE menu items are prepared in TATE Dining Room’s professional kitchen with the strictest standards of safety, sanitation, and health. Thoughtful and considered details are embraced throughout, with food delivered in high-quality vessels yet embracing a zero- waste approach with reusable packaging that will be returned to the restaurant. Similar to a hotel’s room service, the Date by TATE team will arrange for pick-up of all items after completion of your meal. As much as possible, ingredients are sourced locally and seasonally, and always cooked with home dining in mind. Available on Tuesday – Saturday, the Gastronomy Gourmet Boxes will be produced in limited quantities of only 30 per day.

For a takeaway and delivery experience fully tailored to the unique needs of one person, the Gastronomy Gourmet Box (HK$880 + HK$200 delivery fee for Hong Kong Island + Kowloon only) is Date by TATE’s sophisticated answer to the modern takeaway meal. With a minimum requirement of 2 box sets per order, the multi-tiered Gastronomy Box includes the signature bread basket and a multi-course dinner menu for one. Add on a choice of either Acqua Panna still water or San Pellegrino sparkling water (HK$68 per bottle), hot Four Onion Soup with Honeycomb Tofu from Ode to Tofu Menu (+HK$180 for two), a supplemental Celebration ‘Shan Shui’ Cake (+HK$380) for special occasions, a tin of signature TATE’s Caviar Box (+HK$980 for 50g) or Australian Winter black truffle (+HK$700 for 30g).

Return the gourmet box to receive HK$150 on your next order from Date by TATE, or keep the box as a special memento for an additional charge of HK$500. For more details on Date by TATE’s Gastronomy Gourmet Box, see here.
