FOUR sits down with Daniele Righi, Sales Manager at De Manincor, to discover more about the company’s philosophies and products…
Can you provide us with an overview of De Manincor’s history and how it has evolved into a renowned brand in the kitchen industry?
The history of De Manincor is the result of five generations of master blacksmiths who turned their craft into a renowned brand in the kitchen industry. Founded in the heart of the Trentino region of Italy in 1828, we initially focused on creating efficient, finely designed wood-burning kitchens that quickly found their way into Italian homes.
Throughout our long journey, we have constantly held our core values of craftsmanship, solidity and innovation. Our commitment to building lasting customer relationships based on trust and attentive listening has been the cornerstone of our success. Over the years, as technological, environmental and design requirements have evolved, we have adapted, often anticipating and leading the changes.
Today, we at De Manincor are not just a brand. We represent a timeless symbol of unyielding quality, reliability and commitment to exquisite craftsmanship. With a rich heritage spanning over 180 years, our kitchens continue to exemplify our unwavering dedication to excellence and our relentless pursuit of innovation in the world of luxury kitchen manufacturing.
DeManincor is often associated with the term “professional-grade”. Could you explain why this term is frequently used and how it sets your products apart from others in the market?
De Manincor, initially renowned for its commercial kitchens, earned its association with “professional-level” products when top chefs began to seek the same level of quality for their personal residences.
However, it is crucial to recognise that restaurant equipment is designed to withstand the high-intensity demands of a professional kitchen, where it can meet the needs of hundreds of guests per day. This level of functionality and efficiency is not always in line with the needs of the home kitchen, which typically involves smaller gatherings or daily family meals.
To bridge this gap and meet the diverse needs of our customers both aesthetically and technically, we introduced Bespoke Kitchens range. These maintain the same exceptional quality and craftsmanship that distinguishes our commercial-grade products while being customised to meet the unique needs of home cooking. This distinction sets us apart in the market by providing solutions that offer the highest level of performance and perfectly combine functionality and aesthetics for our customers’ homes.
Confidentiality is crucial when it comes to your customers, but can you give us some insights into the types of individuals or establishments that gravitate towards DeManincor stoves?
We have different “types” of customers. We could have important residences with several kitchens, one more active and dedicated to “production” and one more intimate and good-looking, open to the daily family life. We often have passionate clients who want to live their kitchen and enjoy the art of cooking. Sometimes, we deal with designers and architect studios, which are very demanding on finishes and aesthetic details. Here, our 100% bespoke offering manages to follow any kind of exigence. The kitchen layout is then developed and designed, combining both aesthetics and functionality.
De Manincor kitchens are always special and designed to the customer’s needs, not linked or limited by modular units. This key element makes them extremely attractive to those looking for tailor-made solutions: a unique kitchen.
In all of these cases, the long list of restaurants equipped with De Manincor solutions shows an outstanding value for our products.
DeManincor offers product lines for professional domestic and commercial kitchens. How do you ensure that the performance and features meet the unique requirements of each setting?
We have developed two different lines exactly to meet the real requirements of our customers. These two lines, which can be melded together when needed, give us a huge variety of solutions for any kind of need. Our long-term experience as kitchen designers in the commercial kitchen business allows us to advise and assess reliable solutions for different types of customers. This elasticity allows us to give ideal, customised solutions with the necessary cooking equipment and complete it with refrigeration, cabinetries and air extraction.
Could you share some information about your dealer network? Which countries does DeManincor have a presence in, and are there any recent developments or new dealerships?
Certainly! De Manincor has an extensive dealer network that spreads across Europe (Italy, France, Germany, Spain and Belgium), the UK, Israel, Australia, the UAE, and other countries upon request. In recent developments, we are excited to announce the opening of new showrooms in the UK and Italy. The network is empowered by an aftersales service that prides itself on having expert technicians who are familiar with working on restaurant units.
Innovation plays a vital role in the kitchen industry. Can you share any recent technological advancements or design elements that set DeManincor apart?
Today, our commercial kitchens can be controlled by touch screen displays (instead of knobs) positioned at eye level, allowing the entire brigade to understand at first glance what and how equipment is working. We have a solution to adjust induction hobs according to temperature and not only power levels. We also have remote control of the equipment, which allows the local maintenance to be more precise, and, in some cases, repairs can even be done while off-site.
How does DeManincor incorporate eco-friendly practices or materials into its product development and manufacturing processes?
Extremely efficient equipment, combined with pack systems to manage the refrigeration, power consumption limits and remote-controlled units, create extremely sustainable kitchen systems. The client achieves both an eco-friendly product and a clear economic advantage, as running this new-generation equipment allows massive savings.
When customers choose DeManincor, they are making a long-term investment. How does your company prioritise customer satisfaction and after-sales support?
First of all, when customers choose De Manincor, they choose quality. Like all the machinery, De Manincor units have to be regularly cleaned and maintained when needed. The after-sales network in place offers strong support when a technical intervention is necessary.
Looking ahead, what can we expect from DeManincor in terms of future innovations, collaborations, or expansion into new markets?
We are approaching new markets, especially in Asia, and are structuring our organisation in our traditional spaces as well. It’s a continuous challenge!
We will participate in the next edition of the international fair HOST, held in Milan from the 13th to the 17th of October, one of the biggest events worldwide for catering equipment and professional solutions. We will present our commercial and domestic lines there.
