The Maldivian Cheval Blanc Maison will host the Chef of The Ministry of Crab in Sri Lanka for two evenings of gastronomic excellence this February.

The award winning Japanese chef, Dharshan Munidasa, will be heading to the island paradise of Cheval Bland Randheli on the 4th and 5th of February for a two-night feast. On the first evening of this culinary event, Chef Munidasa will collaborate with Randheli’s Culinary Director, Chef Sebastien Lefort, for a gala dinner by the pool. On the second night, Chef Munidasa will present his own especially crafted menu for an exciting pop-up dinner on the beach.

Dharshan Munidasa is the only Sri-Lankan chef to be named on “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant List” as a foreign Asian restaurant. His restaurant, Ministry of Crab,  showcases an innovative menu of dishes inspired by both his Japanese heritage and Sri-Lankan experiences. His culinary approach is focused on magnifying one particular product –the crab, which is raised locally in the Sri-Lankan lagoon. The locality of the produce allows Munidasa to take advantage the freshness and intense flavor of this lush ingredient, and translate it into a masterpiece of taste on his plates.

In light of the Chinese New Year, the Cheval Blanc Randheli Maison has invited the Sri Lankan culinary talent for a gastronomic celebrations- and with the the Noonu atoll as one of the closest Maldives Islands to Sri Lanka, this is a perfect match.
