Join Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet as he conjures four-courses of fine dining flair to celebrate Goût de France/Good France this March.

For the fifth consecutive year, on the 21st of March 2019, the prestigious Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is taking part in Goût de France/Good France  with a special four-course feast. Goût de France/Good France is a unique worldwide culinary event that unites 5,000 chefs over five continents, in celebration of French gastronomy.

This year’s Goût de France/Good France celebrates Provence as a gastronomic destination, a hotspot known for its impressive produce – it grows over half of the nation’s supply. Almost anything can be grown in the favourable climate, but the top products are the orchards of apples, pears, peaches, cherries, figs, apricots & plums.

Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet has imagined a unique 4-course menu featuring dishes that pay homage to the region.

To accompany this menu, Head Sommelier Ruben Desport has also designed an elegant and refined wine pairing showcasing classic French appellations.

Menu highlights include:
• Green asparagus from Provence and morel mushrooms
• Cookpot of rock fish with bouillabaisse broth
• Farmhouse banon
• Lemon from Menton with calisson

One of its main founders, Alain Ducasse once described the incredible annual event as: “French cuisine is the interpreter of a cuisine that has evolved towards lightness in harmony with its environment… The common point of this event is generosity, sharing and the love of what is beautiful and tastes good. It will be a delightful interlude and an opportunity to celebrate French cuisine worldwide.”
