Culinary Olympics in Lyon in final hours…

Named after the living legend, Paul Bocuse, the Bocuse d’Or competition is today in its final day.

Taking place every two years in Lyon, the competition celebrates the talents of hundreds of chefs whobattle it out to take either Gold, Silver or Bronze place.

The 2011 winner was Denmark’s Rasmus Kofoed of Geranium in Copenhagen. The Bocuse d’Or World Cooking Contest takes place over two days every two years at the end of the SIRHA Trade Exhibition.

The culinary equivalent of the Olympcs, the event is now in its 30th year, with previous winners including: Yannick Alleno (Silver, 1999), Mathias Dahlgren (Gold, 1997) and Serge Vieira (Gold, 2005).
