Taking place at the glamorous 34 Mayfair from 5pm onwards on Wednesday, 27, Thursday, 28 and Friday, 29 March, join Manhattan’s elite team as they take over The Emin Room – offering Londoners the rare chance to try its innovative drinks for themselves.
With a menu inspired by America’s 19th century’s hedonistic golden age of cocktails; this pop-up will be Manhattan’s first in London. Senior bartenders Kelvin Lomeda Saquilayan and Yeonju Kang, working in partnership with 34 Mayfair’s expert bar team, have designed a ten strong cocktail menu for 34 Singapore.
There’s no prizes for guessing its signature drink – two-time No.1 bar. Bar manager Philip Bischoff mixes a magnificent Manhattan using Michter’s US1 Straight Rye whisky.
The delectable list will include the Kerman, made with Patrón Silver Tequila, pistachio orgeat and lime; the fruit forward Aviation, combining Hendrick’s Gin, Luxardo Maraschino, clarified lemon, crème de violette and sugar; and the Amelia, which mixes Absolut Elyx vodka, St Germain liqueur, lime, sugar and fresh blackberries
Of course, no cocktail list could be complete without a snack – foodies can feast upon Lobster mac with shaved truffle; Buttermilk fried chicken burger, avocado and crispy bacon; and 34 tacos with lobster, shrimp and passion fruit.
Commenting on the collaboration, Caprice Holdings Director of Bars Xavier Landais said: “We have been revelling in the chance to work alongside such an esteemed team, and have seriously enjoyed creating cocktails with like-minded friends from the industry.”
He continued: “I’m very excited for London to have the chance to visit Manhattan at 34 Mayfair, our 34 Mexico pop up with Licoreria Limantour last summer was a huge success, and we expect the same to be true of 34 Singapore.”
A heavyweight on the Singapore cocktail scene, Manhattan Bar has gained much popularity and praise since its opening in 2014. Both stylish and exciting, it scooped the top spot at the Asia’s 50 Best Bars for two years running.
The venue was also shortlisted as ‘Best International Hotel Bar’ at the prestigious ‘Tales of the Cocktail’ in 2018 – further proof that this is one pop-up you won’t want to miss.
