Wolfgang Puck has created award-worthy feasts for the world’s biggest stars at the annual Academy Awards for 16-years now. Last year, Puck served miniature dishes of everything, including pea tortellini with black truffle and baked potato with caviar and chicken potpie. While in 2011, the Austrian chef served a 24-carat chocolate Oscar dessert and 1,600 English Dover Sole in honour of the Best Picture, The King’s Speech.

With 21 restaurants in America, including venues in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Detroit, Washington D.C and Atlantic City, Puck has achieved celebrity status as the favourite chef of many of the country’s most high-profile film stars.

One of his newest venues is in Tinseltown, the heart of cinematic entertainment, and comes with all of the glitz and glam one would expect from this culinary master.

Located on the 24thfloor of The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, WP24 Restaurant & Lounge opened in 2010. In its short existence, the restaurant has already won numerous awards, and offers Puck’s modern interpretation of traditional Chinese cuisine.

First arriving in the west Coast of America 27 years ago, with the then groundbreaking Chonois on Main, in Santa Monica, Puck stunned his diners with a fusion of Asian and California produce, using French techniques to execute each dish.

He himself won a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, presented to him by the James Beard Foundation in recognition of his pioneering restaurants and techniques, his passion, inspiration and commitment to the industry.
