If you think that not enough is done to introduce young people to fine dining, you might be right. But one institution in Northern Germany is doing its best to change that. This weekend, the Tour de Gourmet Jeunesse organises a restaurant “crawl” experience for 18 to 35-year-olds, for the seventh year in a row. The route will take them to various restaurants that are members of the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival.

On Sunday, 12 January, the tour will begin at Bad Segeberg, where 14 Audi limousines will pick up the young guests and chauffeur them from champagne aperitif to entree, to main and fish course and the sweet finale at Maritim Hotel on the Timmendorfer Strand. The whole tour is intended as a networking opportunity and flavour experience, where young people meet each other and get to know high cuisine, for a mere €80. We wish them an enjoyable day!
