Highly awarded and celebrated throughout the world as one of its finest vineyards, Leeuwin Estate in Western Australia is celebrating its 40 year anniversary this year.

An iconic Margaret River family winery with an outstanding international reputation, Leeuwin Estate was established in 1974 by Denis and Tricia Horgan, with Napa Valley’s Robert Mondavi acting as consultant and mentor. One of the five founding wineries of this now famous region, and a“James Halliday’s Top 100 Australian Winery”,Leeuwin maintainsa team of dedicated winemakers and is now under the direction of two generations of the founding family.

The Estate is consistently ranked as a five star winery by James Halliday who writes in hisAustralian Wine Companion, 2015“The Art Series Chardonnay is, in my opinion, Australia’s finest example, based on the wines of the last 30 vintages.”On four occasions Leeuwin has been included in the category ofInternational Winery of the Yearby US Wine & Spirits magazine and included in the prestigious French publication, 100 Vins De Legende. Leeuwin wines have received Decanter’s highest recommendation, have featured on the cover of WINE SPECTATOR and been included in the Editor’s annual selection of top 100 wines a number of times.Receiving a 98pt score, the current vintage 2011 Art Series Chardonnay was judged “Best Chardonnay” at the Qantas EpiQuire Wine Companion Awards and receiving an “Outstanding” classification, Decanter ranked the current vintage 2010 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon one of the top 50 wines of the year to try.

The Estate offers visitors a unique experience, featuring a multi award winning restaurant, art gallery and staging spectacular alfresco concerts.

With exports to 30 markets, Leeuwin releases its wines under the “Art Series”, “Prelude Vineyards” and “Siblings labels”.
