The Residence Tunis, opened in 1996 with 155 rooms and 9-suites. The Residence Mauritius followed in 1998 with 135 rooms and 28 suites and in 2011, The Residence Zanzibar, a 66-villa property opened. The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi was unveiled in 2012 with 94-villas.
In February this year, they celebrated the opening of their newest Asian gem, The Residence Bintan; nestled in nature on the pristine shores of the South China Sea, this hidden retreat of 127 terraces and villas combines the rural charm of a traditional Asian village with modern luxuries.
2019 will see the exciting opening of The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah. Boasting 173 villas and stunning sea views, the property will take The Residence by Cenizaro’s hotel portfolio to six – Mauritius, Tunis, Zanzibar, Bintan and the Maldives.
Further expansion is planned over the next two years with a slated three hotels in Tunisia – Douz, the gateway to the Sahara, a historical gem in the UNESCO World Heritage site of The Medina of Tunis; and a peaceful retreat in Djerba, the island of ancient riches and mariners.
