Michelin-starred menus, traditional dances and delectable afternoon tea. This is one anniversary you won’t want to forget.

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is celebrating eight years of providing European luxurious and truly memorable Thai hospitality experiences with an exciting month-long series of exceptional events and promotions throughout September.

Starting on 27 September 2018, the five-star property is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a traditional Thai classical masked dance, based upon Ramayana (known as Ramakien Epic).

The classical “Khon” performance is a special occasion – it was once only available to those at the royal court performed by men in masked costumes. Hotel guests and visitors are invited to enjoy the remarkable performance of an episode from Ramayana Epic by members of the Fine Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture, which will take place in the lavish lobby.

The anniversary celebrations will continue for eight days from 27 September to 4 October, with different offerings at the hotel’s lavish lobby, restaurants and spa. The daily festivities include live craftsmanship demonstrations, special spa treatments and exciting gourmet offerings.

Highlights include the “Royal Treatment” spa package at Kempinski The Spa, which last three hours and forty-five minutes and begins with an aromatic hot bath (30 minutes). Then, you’ll  enjoy a Himalayan pink-salt body scrub before a soothing 90 minute massage using rose aromatic oil.

The final stage of this exclusive “Royal Treatment” is a bespoke 24-carat gold anti-aging sheet mask facial massage (60 minutes) that helps to reduce wrinkles, fine lines and blemishes. It also improves blood circulation and escalates the metabolism of cells to create a healthier skin.

For the foodies, don’t miss a bite of the state-of-the-art “Afternoon Tea Reimagined.” A spectacular culinary journey, enjoy a five- course afternoon tea consisting of canapés, sandwiches, scones, mini éclairs and mignardises. The canapés include rice cracker with marinated duck, massaman peanut butter and sweet Thai garlic; crispy Thai tea roll; and mini honey with lime matcha cone. The finely-cut sandwiches include smoked salmon and crab rillettes with horseradish butter and lemon, pickled cucumber served with blinis and pumpernickel; and BBQ pork steamed bao with cilantro mayo. Appetites at the ready.

Finally, once you’ve been pampered and sweet tooth satisfied, pay a visit to the award-winning Micheline one-star Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin. The restaurant is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special set menu that features eight of the most popular dishes served since the restaurant’s doors first opened in 2010, available from 27 September to 4 October 2018.

Available from 27 September – 4 October, the menu includes laksa-based crab on crab cornetto served with grilled squid and oyster tempura with misomayo-coco; Pad Thai shrimp noodle with tamarind and lemongrass; all- time favourite Maine lobster salad frozen red curry, and foie gras with ginger and plum wine. The set dinner concludes perfectly with Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin’s beautiful and delicate “flower shop.”
