Although holding the same fundamental values at its core, Parkhotel Egerner Höfe has undergone extensive renovations to the landmark venue. Capitalising on the restrictions faced during the pandemic, the luxury hotel saw it as an opportunity to revamp the hotel from the ground up and come back with an even more extensive, better, and more luxurious offering.
Using their time wisely and creatively, the hotel’s 108 updated rooms and suites are now joined by a Mangfall Spa wellness area and a new gourmet restaurant, Dichter, from Michelin-starred-chef Thomas Kellermann. With a focus on contemporary architectural elements, stellar cuisine, and genuine, high-quality service, the luxury offering at Parkhotel Egerner Höfe is hard to rival.
Every detail of the new design has been created with utmost attention and care, from the continuous window fronts that allow for panoramic viewing to the sustainable use of local woods and materials from the Alpine region. At Parkhotel Egerner Höfe, everything has been thoughtfully considered, especially when it comes to using sustainable resources. The hotel even has its own state-of-the-art technology installed to help create energy-efficient heating and cooling in the hotel all year round whilst also maintaining a low ecological footprint.
This honest integration of nature and luxury underpins the whole experience at Parkhotel Egerner Höfe. The surrounding landscape of the foothills of the Alps, the extensive hotel park, and the local mount Wallberg are true wonders to be marvelled upon. With this intentionally observed in the redesign, outdoor and indoor areas of the hotel often flow into each other to form a harmonious, nature-oriented concept.
One area, the new Mangfall Spa, emphasises this concept particularly well with a design inspired by the most eastern part of the pre-Bavarian Alps, the Mangfall Mountains. Guests can enjoy three relaxation rooms with an innovative lighting concept and large planted glass cubes that invite you to wind down and relax in harmony with nature.
The Mangfall Spa hosts weekly classes of Arial Yoga and Yoga, which move to the grounds of the park during the summer months for an alfresco experience. For those feeling extra sporty, a TRX studio is also available.
The Spa also boasts a 20-metre-long warm water swimming pool that allows you to swim out into the hotel park, an organic sauna, Finnish sauna, salt sauna or ladies’ sauna, as well as a steam bath and KLAFS ice lounge. Thanks to the panoramic glass front of the spa, nature feels close enough to touch, and the views are simply breathtaking.
Although the new architectural details will wow guests, the surrounding landscape steals the show with each season offering something uniquely special. Parkhotel Egerner Höfe boasts a prime position just off the shores of Lake Tegernsee in the east and the Bavarian pre-Alps. Beautiful in spring and summer when the nearby forests are buzzing with life, and outdoor pursuits such as hiking, horse riding, yoga, fishing, sailing, swimming, biking, golf, tennis and climbing are in full swing, but also ideal for an autumn or winter getaway with ski trails, toboggan runs and countless walking routes nearby. The hotel concierge is also on-hand to organise bespoke trips and tours for you to make the most of your trip to the region. Fancy a picnic on a sailing boat? no problem, Parkhotel Egerner Höfe has it covered!
After a day spent exploring the beautiful Bavarian countryside, guests can retreat to the hotel to enjoy their lovingly designed rooms and suites. Finished to the same impeccable standard as the rest of the hotel, the homely accommodations are both beautiful and comfortable, allowing you to feel instantly at ease. Sit back, relax and indulge in the hotel’s concept of ‘silent luxury’ while you prepare for the evening ahead.
With various delectable food and beverage option on-site, guests can indulge in culinary delights from the entire Alpine foothills. The hotel also hosts popular events, such as cooking courses on a variety of subjects, which are nearly always sold out due to their popularity with both the hotel guests and locals. Another highlight that can be organised at the hotel is a private Oktoberfest for up to 70 guests, creating the perfect setting in which to enjoy this annual German tradition.
Guests can choose between a plentiful breakfast at Florian’s restaurant, located in the east wing of the hotel, allowing our guests to enjoy the morning sun, or at The Kaminrestaurant with its Stubn, which is open from noon until dinner. The hotel also has a wonderful terrace where guests can enjoy drinks, snacks, lunch and dinner with unparalleled mountain views. All the restaurants create authentic regional cuisine and Bavarian delicacies – interpreted in a modern way, with local products from the region. The result is seasonal culinary delights that will surprise and excite you.
