One&Only is set to make its debut in the French Alps with the launch of a new resort and private homes in Courchevel 1850, scheduled to open in 2030. Announced by Kerzner International, the project marks a significant step in the brand’s growing alpine expansion following the opening of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana.
The resort will occupy the site of the historic Courcheneige Hotel, an address long associated with the story of Courchevel itself. Through a full redevelopment, the property will be transformed into a contemporary alpine retreat that aims to combine the destination’s longstanding glamour with One&Only’s approach to ultra-luxury hospitality.
Positioned within the exclusive Jardin Alpin area, the resort will sit directly on the Bellecôte slope, offering ski-in/ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest ski area. Elevated above neighbouring properties, the setting promises panoramic mountain views while maintaining a greater sense of privacy than many of the resort’s more central addresses.
Courchevel has long occupied a unique position within the luxury travel landscape, known as much for its Michelin-starred restaurants, designer boutiques and social atmosphere as for its skiing. One&Only’s arrival reflects the continued evolution of alpine hospitality, where demand increasingly extends beyond winter sports to include wellness, design, dining and year-round lifestyle experiences.
“Courchevel, one of the most iconic mountain destinations in the world, has long set the standard for luxury mountain travel globally,” said Philippe Zuber. “The arrival of One&Only marks a defining milestone not only for our brand, but for the future of luxury hospitality in the Alps.”
Accommodation will include a mix of guest rooms and suites designed to maximise natural light and mountain views, while drawing on the familiar language of alpine architecture through a more contemporary lens. According to the announcement, interiors will balance warmth and intimacy with the understated glamour associated with the One&Only brand.
Dining is expected to form a central part of the experience. The resort will feature multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, ranging from relaxed slope-side venues to more formal evening settings and après-ski spaces designed to reflect Courchevel’s vibrant social culture. Culinary programming will target an international clientele for whom gastronomy and entertainment are considered integral to the alpine experience.
Wellness will also play a major role in the development. Plans include an expansive spa concept inspired by the restorative qualities of the alpine environment, incorporating indoor and outdoor wet areas, thermal facilities, treatment rooms and dedicated recovery spaces. Treatments and experiences will focus on post-ski restoration, sleep support, mindfulness and holistic wellbeing, alongside high-performance fitness and recovery facilities.
Alongside the resort, One&Only will introduce a limited collection of branded private residences, a rarity within Courchevel’s tightly constrained real estate market. The homes are intended to combine the privacy of standalone alpine living with access to the services and amenities of the resort itself.
“Courchevel represents one of the most exclusive residential and hospitality markets in the world,” said Juan Aguilar. “This development reflects the full breadth of our expertise, not only as a leading operator of ultra-luxury hospitality experiences, but also as a trusted investment and development partner capable of creating enduring value in the world’s most sought-after destinations.”
The announcement further strengthens One&Only’s presence across both hospitality and branded residential sectors, while signalling a broader push into Europe’s luxury mountain market. When it opens in 2030, One&Only Courchevel is expected to become one of the Alps’ most closely watched new arrivals.
