Have you ever wished you could have your favorite restaurant’s food on a long plane journey?
I know I have.
If you’reone of the lucky ones that flies private and you’re in the mood for something better than the normal airline catering on your jet, you now have a new option in London. Novikov, the well known London restaurant is now offering selections form both the Italian and Asian room for delivery to the airfield for your next journey.
Guests need simply visit the website and place their orders for sashimi, nigiri and specialssuch as spicy miso baby chicken, or perhaps the very finest Parma ham, mortadella andprosciutto alongside perennially popular choices like trofie pasta served with wild rabbitragout in Chianti wine sauce.Their dishes can then be hand-delivered to airfields, or collected as per the customer’swishes, ready for serving on board.
We sampled a few of the dishes here atFOUR and we were all really impressed with the quality, presentation and the great flavours of the dishes. Despite not being at 30,000ft, you still get the idea that this is not just some microwaved meal, but is exactly the same quality as you find in the restaurant. Particular standouts were the sushi, the gnocchi as well as the Madagascan tiger prawn. If the service proves popular, Novikov plans to roll out the scheme to include privateyachts. Now that will be some delivery service!
